I was born in 1964, the last day of september, this season is always for me the real beginning of the year, like school i could say. As a teenager i began to draw copying fantastic comics, then fashion illustration. After a scientific direction, mostly caused by education, to have a safely career and everything directed by a modest background, i decided to go in an Art school after the "high" one. The real high one was there, i must thank first my mother who allowed and help me to do it, while in my family all people were already working at sixteen years old, this luxury to do studies was a real chance.

This period will always stay the happy one, a new horizon, leaving the fate to be an "engineer" or something like a chemist searcher. Due this background, i had been easy with technical draw, witch was important during the common first two years program at this period. I noticed very quickly that people around not formatted as me, were in difficulties with that option but not in the essential capture, the emotion. Along the years in the university, the blending of different cultures, i left my virtual white smock to a more dandy one and looking to this essential perception.

So i worked a lot on me to unstructure my brain, leaving logic, i was helped by friends and teachers. One, a corean woman, a video Art pionner as Paik, introduced us to the Fluxus world and contemporaneous music. Her husband was an piano interpret of John Cage . I had the great chance to meet him, work, travel, and see in Paris 'Europera 3 & 4' at Bastille Opera. Also during the first year i had a deep motorbike accident, leaving me out of life awareness during one day. I awaked to my new life, without any deep wound quite by miracle, knowing nothing about what happened and upon all not aware yet about the the Joseph Beuys one...

Art and Architecture school were twins in the campus, and at first i enjoying a lot the "line". I was drawing black and white with china ink some abstract forms very stylised, working a lot on the pre-pixel computer Art with copiers, enlarging maximum and downsizing after again to get a pure shape. I was more in a design goal, then the training of all the rich school techniques and mediums available, the learn, my accident, led again me to something else.

Going out from the "paradise", i enter quickly in the life trying to value my fresh knowledge. I found a free radio station, it was the golden eighties, and i was during one year a radio presenter in Marseille. i was making the news composition and presentation with my colleagues, partaking in an international politics and economy program, then a contemporary music program creator, improvised live research program weekly.

After that i made some theather, not the usual one. A great contemporaneous director an author was making a turn in my town : Armand Gatti. This troupe experience, six months of groundwork in the Auschwitz universe, the great author’s philosophy and the Kung-Fu and Tai-chi daily physique training, led me to Paris where i lived ten years.

During a personal entrevue with Armand at the end of our representation, he asked me what i was planning to do. I replied photography and moving to Paris, a contrario to what he thought about me "some talent" to write", the one i must develop. But my multimedia background was to rich to leave, and i found that photography was the best medium, which was socially represented everywhere in our society, to earn my life doing an para-artisitic work. I say "para" cause at this time photography wasn't so much yet recognised as art with a big A. I have meanwhile always thought in three dimensions, and my goal is always challenging the photography's two ones.
